Helping people know and follow Jesus.

What We Believe

Grace Community Church of Willow Street

believes that the Bible is the only inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. The Bible is our final authority for matters of doctrine and standards of Christian living.

  1. The universe is the purposeful creation of a personal, loving, almighty God.
  2. Our world is under the sway of sin as a result of an historical and a personal human rebellion against God, so that suffering, death, and separation from God are the experience of humankind; and that without the intervention of God’s grace, this will be the eternal state of all persons.
  3. All human beings are made in the image of the Creator and are of infinite worth.
  4. Jesus Christ is the one and only Savior of the world. He is the incarnate Son of God, and through his virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death on the Cross, and glorious resurrection and ascension, graciously offers new life to all who receive him by faith.
  5. The Holy Spirit, indwelling believers, gives them a desire and an ability to follow biblical standards of conduct in their personal lives and in society.
  6. The Christian faith is lived in the community of the church, where worship and witness are embodied through the spiritual gifts of its members.
  7. Jesus Christ will return to this world, bring an end to history as we know it, inaugurate the final judgment, and welcome believers into his eternal kingdom.

Church Membership

Tell Me More: A One-Day Membership Class introduces you to what the Evangelical Congregational Church believes, and how you can become a part of GCC’s mission to help people know and follow Jesus. This class serves as preparation to those who are ready to make a membership commitment or for those who wish to learn more about GCC. Those who take One Day: Tell Me More, will have to take our Discovery Part 2, but not Part 1, which is being offered on Monday, May 22.

The Discovering My Spiritual Gifts classes, both part 1 & 2 will begin in May. Part 1 is Monday, May 15 beginning at 7:00pm, and part 2 is Monday, May 22 beginning at 7:00pm. Dr. Armand Weller and some assimilation team members will work together to help us discover our God-given gifts and talents, and how they might fit into the mission of GCC.
